G. I. Gurdjieff brought an ancient spiritual science for the harmonious self-development of the human being. His teaching known as The Fourth Way reveals the keys that when applied brings into harmony our intellectual, emotional and moving functions. This musical evening demonstrates the importance of music in Gurdjieff’s teaching and how in raising the body-mind to a higher world of vibration we taste the real world that awaits our spiritual evolution.

Michael Dale is a composer-improviser and multi-instrumentalist residing in the San Francisco Bay area. He performs regularly and has been featured on the recordings Sacred Music of the Eternal Present: Hymns and Prayers of G.I. Gurdjieff, and Perseverance, as well as in the award-winning short Milo’s Wheelsas film composer. He maintains a full studio of private students in the East Bay. He is a student of William Patrick Patterson, a leading exponent and teacher of The Fourth Way.

Michael Dale is a composer-improviser and multi-instrumentalist residing in the San Francisco Bay area. He performs regularly with many jazz and classical groups including New Keys and Death of the Cool. Recently, he has been featured on the recordings Sacred Music of the Eternal Present: Hymns and Prayers of G.I. Gurdjieff, and Perseverance, by the free-jazz group Sound Immersion. He is also a composer for film, having scored the award-winning short Milo’s Wheels. He maintains a full studio of private students in the East Bay. He is a student of William Patrick Patterson, a leading exponent and teacher of The Fourth Way.

Gurdjieff Legacy presents
a Recital of Gurdjieff’s Music

Pianist Michael Dale will perform selections from the sacred music of G.I. Gurdjieff Sat., Nov. 3 at 7:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of San Rafael, 1510 Fifth Ave., San Rafael, CA 94960. A donation of $15 is appreciated. Five dollars of the donation may be applied to the purchase of CDs, books and videos exploring the sacred teaching of self-transformation Gurdjieff brought to the West.
